SNAPy have been developed for larger, regional size network analysis that requires doumentation and reliablity. As factors and models for pedestrian movement grew more complicated, customizable and faster processing felt obtainable by developing a python library. As network analysis is gaining prominency, both in planning, assessing, and commercial needs, this library has the goal to provide spatial network analysis tools for more people, where Data, GIS, Spatial analyst alike; Either for specific analysis or embedded within some related service.
